Nursery Fees & Funded Places
What's included?
No hidden fees or charges. Our fees include all freshly prepared meals and snacks, with meals cooked onsite in our kitchen by our dedicated chef. We also provide formula for babies and nappies. In addition, any trips the children take during their nursery day are fully included in the fees.

1st Place is a charity with a focus on what truly matters - the children and community. As a charity, surplus funds are used to support our nurseries and Best Start Family Hub services, which help families in the local community.
Free 5 & 30 Hour Funded Places
1st Place offer government-funded childcare places. All children aged 3 and 4 years old are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare each week. Some working families can also get up to 30 hours of funded childcare for children from around 9 months old until school age. Funded places are offered subject to availability.

Additional Support
Additional support with childcare costs may also be available through Universal Credit, Tax-Free Childcare, and workplace schemes. Scroll down for more information.
Hours outside the funded entitlement are available in line with our fee structure. Please see our fee sheet for details.
Government-funded childcare is calculated over 38 weeks of the year (term time); however, our nursery operates for 50 weeks. This means the funded hours are spread across the full 50 weeks we are open. When stretched, the 15-hour entitlement works out at 11.4 hours per week, and the 30-hour entitlement works out at 22.8 hours per week.
