Family Services Manager

Salary: £44,430 p/a

Hours: 36 hours per week

Location: Southwark ( SE5 & SE17)

  • 1st Place are recruiting a Family Services Manager to lead Community Family work within our Children and Family Hub. 

    They will oversee the effective operation and development of the family support and outreach team, including strategic work across a locality in partnership with range of health, education and other multi-agency teams.

    The role takes responsibility for the coordination and management of the Children & Family Hub programme available to local children under five and their parents/ carers to include a well-balanced programme of targeted and universal services.

    They will work in an integrated way with the Southwark Early Help Team to ensure all target and vulnerable children receive appropriate interventions to improve their outcomes.

    Working closely with the Head of Family Services, they will ensure services are delivered to the highest standard and service targets are met in line with the overall children’s centre strategy.

    Please note: This role is primarily office-based, with most working days spent in Victory, SE17 1PT, and some days in Chumleigh Gardens, SE5 0RN. The role will also require occasional off-site visits and meetings across the local area. While there may be opportunities to work from home (typically up to 1 day per week), this is dependent on business needs and cannot be guaranteed.

Atelierista

Salary: £20,019 p/a

Hours: 3 days per week

  • Summary:

    We are looking for an individual with both a creative and childcare background, who has a passion for working with children and their families, an innovative approach to learning, and can work independently and as part of a team.

    The role requires an understanding and knowledge of creative mediums and resources, and how these can be introduced to support children’s learning and development through exploration, experimentation and self-expression. Working within a Reggio-inspired nursery is an absolutely inspirational environment, and the Atelierista plays a key role in supporting the children through collaborative project based experiences that enhance and extend their understanding and learning.

    To extend children’s learning experiences by facilitating explorations through a wide range of resources and materials

    Help children develop projects and provide support within the Atelier and individual rooms for their investigation.

    Document and – together with the team and children – interpret children’s learning journeys

    Work with and support staff in developing understanding of Reggio Emilia and related practice.

    Promote creative learning approaches used at 1 Place to staff, other professionals/children and families through delivery of workshops and training.
