Early Educator (Bank)

Summary:
Brief Job Description: Senior Community Family Worker
Because of the focus on Fathers only sessions, we are only accepting male applicants.
The Fathers and Carers Group Coordinator will support and engage fathers, male carers and families across 1st Place Children and Parents’ Centre at Chumleigh and 1st Place at Victory. The role will focus on building positive relationships with dads, male carers, schools and the wider community, while coordinating group activities, parent support sessions, casework, direct one-to-one support and Saturday provision.
Hours and Working Pattern
Working days will include weekdays and Saturdays.
The postholder will be required to work one late evening per week. (Will start late)
The role will be based across 1st Place at Chumleigh and 1st Place at Victory, with some work delivered in the community.
Essential Requirements
This is a male-only role and applications are welcomed from male applicants only, where this is a genuine occupational requirement for the service.
The successful candidate must have completed, or be willing to complete, Designated Safeguarding Lead training.
Strong IT skills are required to coordinate communication with dads and carers, record information and support reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver the Fathers and Carers Group, ensuring regular communication with dads and male carers.
Build and maintain links with local schools, community partners and family support services.
Deliver Talk Learn Do sessions, supporting parents and carers to have practical conversations with children about money and everyday financial learning.
Host bi-weekly parent drop-in sessions offering information, advice and support.
Support community outreach activity to increase engagement with fathers, carers and families.
Support bank staff working on Saturdays, ensuring the service runs safely and effectively.
Maintain accurate records, report activity data and contribute to service monitoring.
Prepare quarterly reviews on the Fathers and Carers Group, including attendance, outcomes, engagement and areas for development.
Role Summary
This role requires a confident, organised and community-focused individual who can engage fathers and carers, coordinate group activity, support safeguarding practice and contribute to high-quality family support across both sites.
