Spotlight on our Rose Vouchers volunteers

As Volunteers’ Week draws to a close, Ariela Cravitz, Rose Vouchers Project and Volunteer Co-ordinator, shares a final thank you and highlights the value of her team of volunteers:

“It is wonderful and incredibly helpful to have volunteers supporting the Rose Vouchers Project. As the project has grown, taking on volunteers has been an opportunity to have people get more involved with the project – as well as the 1st Place community more generally.

We are so busy now, with so many families registered for Rose Vouchers, that we really appreciate our volunteers and their support. They also add so much value to the project – including being able to use their mother tongue (when not English) to communicate with families in their own language. This is wonderful to see, and helps the families feel more comfortable, and learn more about the many other activities and support we can offer in the children and family centres.

We are now expanding the volunteer roles on offer, both to reflect the growth of the project as well as to provide more opportunities for professional development and experience for our volunteers. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to our Rose Voucher volunteers for their support and commitment, particularly over the last difficult year.”
