1 Million Rose Vouchers Distributed in Southwark!
What an exciting day! Yesterday we gave out Rose Voucher number 1000000 to Ola, a proud mum of triplets! This means we have now given one million Rose Vouchers to families in Southwark to help support the healthy diet of pregnant women, babies & young children in Southwark!
Since 2018, the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet.
Local families who receive Rose Vouchers can exchange their vouchers for fresh fruit and vegetables in local markets. This amazing project was recognised by BBC Food & Farming awards in 2023, and two of our wonderful volunteers gained recognition at Southwark Stars in 2023 and were awarded Champion Volunteer.
We would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers and our Southwark Rose Vouchers Project Lead, Ariela, all of whom make this important work possible.
We need a new team member to help us continue this work. There is a vacancy for a brand-new role in the Southwark Rose Vouchers team, as a Rose Voucher Project Officer.
